Erin Richards is an Welsh television and film actress. She is best known for her roles on series such as "Breaking In" and "Gotham," as well as the films "Open Grave" and "The Quiet Ones."
Erin Richards was born in Penarth, Wales, England on May 17, 1986. After graduating from the University of Sheffield in Sheffield, England with a BA in International History and Politics, she went on to attend the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff, Wales. It was here that she developed her true passion for acting, eventually making her stage debut in The Bankrupt Bride in 2009. It was not long after that she became the host of the Welsh teen magazine series "Mosgito" on the S4C network, paving her way to a very fruitful acting career ahead.
After taking on minor roles in short films such as "17" in 2009, Erin caught her first big break when she was cast in an episode of the UK series "Crash" in 2010. The following year, she booked a recurring role as Nancy Reid in the UK version of "Being Human," opening even more doors to the young star. The following year, her career truly began to take shape as she not only landed a lead role on the FOX series "Breaking In," but also the BBC series "Merlin," albeit in a smaller role.
Ever since, Erin has continued to see good fortune not just on the small screen, but in film, as well. By 2014, she had starred in both "Open Grave" and "The Quiet Ones," while still taking on small roles in TV series like "Crossing Lines" and "Misfits." Of course, the role that has gone on to make her the most famous yet came when she was cast as Barbara Kean, love interest to a young Commissioner Gordan on FOX's Batman-based series "Gotham."
