Emma Greenwell is a New York born actress who grew up in London. Her most noteworthy role is the scandalous Mandy Milkovich on Showtime's "Shameless," but she has been slowly working her way into film since 2013.
Emma was born in New York but raised in London, England where she got into acting. As a child, she participated in school plays, but it wasn't until the end of her teenage years that Emma enrolled in drama school due to a lacking interest in persuing four-year universities. She attended London Academy of Music and Drama Arts for one year while auditioning in London and starring in a play at the Edinburgh Festival.
She landed her first acting job after moving to Los Angeles, California in 2012. Upon revisiting America during pilot season, she booked a small role on Showtime's "Shameless." Her character, Mandy Milkovich, is what Emma consider to be "the opposite of who she is," but her character's unabashed personality has risen with every year. In addition, Emma landed another role in 2012 as Claudia Crane in another Showtime hit series, "True Blood," playing three episodes as the recurring guest.
In 2013, Emma received her first film role in Mitchell Altieri's drama thriller "Holy Ghost People" as one of the lead characters, Charlotte, a girl in search of her missing sister. Around this time, Emma was rumored to be dating her "Shameless" costar, Jeremy Allen White, who plays the lippy, brooding James Dean type, Lip Gallagher. She closed out 2014 with another year on "Shameless" while appearing in a guest spot on "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit." Emma starred in films "Dare to Be Wild" and the highly anticipated zombie parody movie adaptation for "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies," both set for 2015 release.
With the William H. Macy dramedy series "Shameless" carrying on strong into its fifth season in early 2015, Emma continues her role as Lip's will-they-won't-they love interest with two films set for release, along with the announcement of her starring role in "Duet," a 2016 Jeffrey Scott Collins written and directed drama, currently with Emma as the lead and only cast character.
