Elizabeth Henstridge is an English actress. She is best known for her role as Jemma Simmons on the ABC series Marvel's "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."
A relative newcomer to the acting game when cast in the role of Agent Jemma Simmons on Marvel's "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." in 2013, it's no surprise that Elizabeth Henstridge has resonated so well with fans of the series. With less than a dozen acting credits to her name at the time, it may have been the fact that she was so anonymous at the point of her career-changing role that she was able to grab people's attention. Then again, when you look as good as she does, that's par for the course.

Born Elizabeth Frances Henstridge on September 11, 1987 in Sheffield, England, it certainly wasn't for lack of preparation that she wasn't cast in her first major acting role on the British soap opera "Hollyoaks" until 2011. Prior to this, along with attending Meadowhead School and King Edward VII School before moving on to the University of Birmingham, Elizabeth studied her passion at the East 15 Acting School in Loughton, Essex. After this, she made her was to Los Angeles where her career really began to thrive.
Since her commute to L.A., Elizabeth landed a number of both film and television roles preceding her stint on "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." Among them include the lead role on The CW pilot "Shelter" and films like "The Thompsons." With the recent boom in popularity of superhero-related television series and movies, however, she will likely always be remembered most fondly for her role on the Marvel series. That said, she's still got quite the long career ahead of her, and we personally can't wait to see what that entails for the lovely and talented actress.
