Elizabeth “Liz” Egan Gillies is an American actress and singer probably best known for her role as Jade West on the Nickelodeon show “Victorious.”

Elizabeth began her career in commercials for bubblegum and cell phones before she landed small roles in “The Black Donnellys,” “The Clique” and “Locker 514.” When she was 15 years old, she made her Broadway debut in the production of “13.”
Her other projects include guest spots on “White Collar” and an appearance in the music video “Time In A Day.” The show that made her famous, “Victorious” ran from 2010 to February 2013. The show was so successful, it released a doll of her character in 2012. With all that under her belt, Elizabeth Gillies said when she was younger, she auditioned for “America’s Got Talent,” but was rejected.
Elizabeth said about mean girls, “I think dealing with mean girls is just a part of life. I never really took people like that too seriously.”
In 2012, she revealed she was working on an album. “Nothing I can really talk about, but I definitely am working on my music, and I’m moving along that path a little further on, so hopefully there’ll be something to show in the next year or so.”
Elizabeth Gillies has said that she is “very weird.” She said in middle school she was boy crazy and “it was the worst! And I would always lose, too. I was more into the competition than the boy by the end of it! I just wanted to win!”
Aside from acting and singing, she likes photography. She said if she could live in any time period, she would choose the 70’s.

When looking for a guy, Elizabeth Gillies said she likes a guy with a sense of humor, good personality, and maturity. “I tend to only be attracted to older guys for that reason. I just love guys who have a really strong sense of who they are.”
Her date deal breakers are people without a sense of humor and someone who chews badly. “I will never be with someone who never laughs or someone who chews disgustingly.”
Elizabeth Gillies splits her time between New York City and Los Angeles.
