Cheryl Ann Cole (formerly Tweedy) is an English singer, songwriter, dancer and TV personality. She’s probably best known for her appearance on the reality TV show “Popstars: The Rivals on ITV” and a judge on “The X-Factor.” She was also named the Sexiest Woman in 2010, according to FHM UK.
Her nicknames are Chez and Chezza. She has described herself as having strength, femininity and independence.
Cheryl Cole recently had a tattoo done of her entire buttocks and lower back that took over 14 hours to complete. It sparked criticism, to which she wrote: “People are entitled to their own opinion. Personally I’ve never really concerned myself with other people’s body parts!” She got her first tattoo when she was 16.

Cheryl Cole grew up the fourth of five children, and she began dancing at a young age. She took part in modeling competitions and landed in commercials for British Gas. She attended Walker Comprehensive School in Newcastle, but was suspended twice; once for fighting, and another for swearing on a bus. Her inspiration as a teenager was Britney Spears. She said, “It was not a question of ‘if’ I was going to make it, just ‘when.’”

Cheryl Cole rose to prominence as part of the group “Girls Aloud.” The group broke the record for most consecutive singles in the UK Top 10. In 2013, the group split up and Cheryl went solo. “Because we got together so young, we needed to grow as young women...we needed some space as humans.” During her solo career, she earned three BRIT Award nominations.
As a singer, Cheryl has a mezzo-soprano range. “I am very aware of my ability, I know I’m no Mariah Carey, but I think the emotion in the song is what matters.”
She was married to English soccer player Ashley Cole from 2006 – 2010. As to dating, she said, “The thought of being intimate with someone you don’t know really freaks me out. I think men should earn that intimacy.”
Cheryl Cole wrote an autobiography because “I was sick of reading lies, sick of reading misquotes. Enough was enough and it was time for me to put out my side of the story.”
She has no regrets. “Life’s too short…mistakes are life. I don’t live like that…I think things are sent to you so that you learn and grow.” Cheryl Cole splits her time between London and Los Angeles.
