Ariane Labed was born in Athens, Greece to French parents on May 8, 1984. Growing up, she spent time living in both Greece and Germany before finally settling into France where she has made a career ever since. Of course, she wasn't always focused on her acting and actually spent 10 years of her young life studying to be a dancer. However, after studying theater at the University of Provence in France, she decided she fancied acting much more and set out on a pursuit of the craft that made her most happy.

In 2010, Ariane landed her first professional acting gig in the film "Attenberg." Prior to this, she had only starred in a variety of performances undertaken by the Vasistas Theatre Company which she helped found during her time at the University of Provence. "Attenberg," while an experimental film which opens with Ariane awkwardly tongue kissing her co-star Evangelia Randou, proved to be enough of an initial success to gain her the popularity to land further roles in films like "Alps," "Before Midnight" and 2014's "Fidelio, Alice's Journey" which landed her nominations for both a Cesar and Lumieres Award.

Ariane didn't truly catch on with American audiences until about a year later. After it was announced in late June 2015 that she would be starring in the film adaptation of popular video game "Assassin's Creed," she was also seen alongside Colin Farrell and Rachel Weisz in the sci-fi film "The Lobster" that August. With such high profile performances now under her belt, the sky seems to be the limit for the young French actress.
