April Bowlby is an American television actress. She is known best for her recurring role as Kandi on the CBS series, "Two and a Half Men," as well as Stacy Barrett on "Drop Dead Diva."
April Michelle Bowlby was born on July 30th, 1980 in Vallejo, California. Shortly after, she moved to Manteca, California, where she attended East Union High School. As a child, she always had a dream to be a florist in a flower shop, mostly because of the great smells and the beautiful array of flowers she'd be around all day. She also had an interest in being a librarian, and has said that both profession would suit her well if she hadn't gone on to be a well established actress.

Of course, as with many other actresses, April didn't initially start out as one. After attending Moorpark College, where she studied ballet, marine biology, and the French language, she went on to a career in modeling. While she enjoyed her newfound profession, she soon began auditioning for roles in Hollywood. It wasn't long before she was cast as the new love interest for actor Jon Cryer's character on the hit series "Two and a Half Men." The role would turn into a recurring one, and April ended up being featured in 16 episodes.
Since landing her breakout role on "Two and a Half Men," April continued to thrive on television. She went on to book guest roles on series such as "CSI: NY," "Kath & Kim," and "Psych." She even played a multi-episode love interest to Neil Patrick Harris' Barney character on CBS' "How I Met Your Mother." While she has also played parts in films such as "All Roads Lead Home" and Broken Lizard's "The Slammin' Salmon," she mainly focuses on television. In fact, she's been a cast member on the series "Drop Dead Diva" since 2009.
