Annette Ngosi “Annie” Ilonzeh is an American actress probably best known for her roles on “General Hospital” and “Arrow.” She most recently appeared in “Killer Reality.”
Annie Ilonzeh grew up in Texas and is the oldest of five girls. Her mother is Caucasian and her father is Nigerian. She attended the University of Texas in Arlington on a basketball scholarship, where she was finance major.
In her senior year, she decided to pursue a career in acting. After a visit to Los Angeles, she packed her bags and went west. Her father told her, “I’m giving you one year to become a superstar and if you’re not, you’re coming home.”

She landed small parts almost immediately, including roles in “How I Met Your Mother,” “Melrose Place,” “Entourage” and “Renemies.” Her breakthrough was on the soap “General Hospital.”
Annie Ilonzeh later appeared on the reboot of “Charlie’s Angels” as a former “dirty” cop and martial arts expert. She is the first African-American to hold the role of an “Angel.” She said, “In the beginning, I didn’t really think about it…it took me a while to realize it is an accomplishment. It’s great to set a stage to tell women that no matter your color or nationality, you can do it.” The show, however, was cancelled in its first season.
She told People, her body is athletic. “I’m not going to have beautiful curves or Kim Kardashian’s body. I just have to accept that. I used to play basketball and everything was about power and getting stronger. Now…I work out to tone and stay lean.”
Annie Ilonzeh resides in Los Angeles.
