Anna Chlumsky was born into the world of acting and modeling on December 3, 1980. We say this because with her mother being a coach and manager herself, it took no time at all before she put her daughter in the spotlight. In fact, Anna achieved her first modeling shoot at just 10 months old. Things continued to move at rapid fire pace from there, as by the time 1991 rolled around, she was the star of her first major motion picture "My Girl," a role that would prove to be both a blessing and a curse.

Continuing to flex her acting muscles for the next seven years in roles in films including "My Girl 2," "Trading Mom" and "Gold Diggers: The Secret of Bear Mountain," Anna came to realize that the gigs weren't coming as easy as they used to as she grew older. Despite having had to turn down roles in movies like "Beethoven" and "Lassie" when her young career was at its peak, by 1997 she was relegated to TV movies and series like "Early Edition." Deciding it might be time for a change, she moved back to her native Chicago and enrolled at the the University of Chicago to attain her BA in International Studies. From here, she got a job as an editorial assistant with HarperCollins Publishers.

Of course, when acting is your true passion, you won't let anything keep you from it for good. After realizing her current gig wasn't for her, Anna figured it was time to get back into the performing game by enrolling at the Atlantic Acting School in Manhattan to give her career in the spotlight another chance. After landing roles in movies like "Blood Car" and "In the Loop," she got her second big break in 2012 with her role on "Veep." Ever since, her career has hit a resurgence the likes of which many former child stars never see again.
