Angela Lindvall is an American model, actress, and environmental activist. She is widely known for her work with Victoria's Secret and the Sport's Illustrated Swimsuit Edition.
Lindvall was born in Midwest City, Oklahoma on January 14, 1979. She was raised in Lee's Summit, Missouri. She was scouted while doing a local fashion show in Kansas City and subsequently signed with IMG at age 14.
Lindvall has been featured on the covers of almost every fashion magazine, including Elle, Harper's Bazaar, I-D, and Vogue. She has also appeared in advertisements for numerous fashion houses, including Fendi, Christian Dior, Prada, Jimmy Choo, Chloe, and Louis Vuitton. Lindvall is the founder and president of the Collage Foundation. This organization promotes "sustainability and environmentally conscious choices among young people." She is widely known for her environmental activism. The Sustainable Style Foundation twice named her "Best Dressed Environmentalist."
Angela Lindvall was featured in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in 200, 2003, 2005, 2007, and 2008. She has also appeared in television commercials for the brand. Lindvall has been featured in commercials for H&M and The Gap. She was also the face of Zara and was featured in their 2007 spring/summer campaign.
Lindvall has acted in several films, including CQ (2001), Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (2005), and Murder World (2009). She has also had success in television. In 2011, she made an appearance in the series Hawaii Five-0. She was also the host of the Lifetime Television fashion reality series Project Runway: All Stars.
In 2009, Lindvall collaborated with Edun Live and "Yoox.xom" and designed a line of "eco-friendly clothing." All proceeds were donated to Green Cross International.
Angela became the face of John Hardy in Fall 2010 and continued to appear in all of the company's advertising campaigns until Fall 2011. Then, she started her own line in collaboration with John Hardy. The collection, Angela by John Hardy, is inspired by her "travels and interest in ancient cultures."
Her younger sister, Audrey Lindvall, was also a model. The two were very close and appeared together in an advertisement for Ann Taylor. Audrey was killed by a fuel tanker as she was riding her bicycle in her home town, Lee's Summit, Missouri.
In 2001, Lindvall vacationed in the British Virgin Islands. Here she met South African diver William Edwards. The pair had a son, William Dakota, the following year and subsequently married. In 2005, they had a second son named Sebastian. They divorced in June 2006.
