Amanda McCarthy is an American model who grew up in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She is married to Arizona Diamondbacks’ pitcher Brandon McCarthy.
Exceptionally little is known about Amanda, which is very rare considering this is the Internet. However, she has managed to keep a very low profile over the years. That being said, here is what we do know about the brunette beauty:
First and foremost, she used to go by the name Amanda Nelson before meeting and marrying her true love (however, that still won’t help you find information about her online). As a teen, Amanda met Brandon McCarthy at Cheyenne Mountain High School in Colorado Springs, Colorado. However, they had not been dating this whole time up until their marriage. Actually, after graduation, Amanda hit the road and went to college at the University of Arizona. The two didn’t reconnect until after this.

To be precise, it was 2007 when the two met up again in Arizona. Amanda and Brandon then began dating. At the time, Amanda was working in fashion and Brando was playing for the Texas Rangers. In December 2009 while on a romantic date, Brandon popped the question and the two were married on December 10, 2010.
These days, Amanda has fully embraced the wife of a baseball WAG, traveling to almost all of Brandon’s games. And while there is very little personal information known about Amanda, she does tweet, and very often at that. She made a little bit of a Twitter ripple back on July 6, 2011, when she tweeted to her hubby “@B__McCarthy Happy birthday babe!! Congrats.. your balls are a little saggier today.” But of course, this was all in good fun, as the couple enjoy tweeting funny things to each other on a regular basis. Amanda also writes a blog called “Stilettos and Cleats," chronicling her life as a baseball wife.
Last year, Amanda and Brandon graced the cover of the March 5, 2012 "Analytics Issue" of ESPN: The Magazine. Along with just being a gorgeous wife, Amanda is and has always been actively involved in all of Brandon’s teams’ charitable causes.
