Alyson Stoner is a television and film actress, dancer, singer and model. She is most famous for her roles in the "Cheaper by the Dozen" and "Step Up" line of films.
Alyson Rae Stoner was born in Toledo, Ohio on August 11, 1993 and has pretty much been busy every since. OK, so maybe she didn't have much of a career as an infant, but by the time she was only 3, she had already taken up ballet, tap and jazz dancing at the local O'Connell's Dance Studio. Just to keep things interesting, she also began modeling with the Margaret O'Brien Modeling Studio, too, winning "Best Model of the Year" at the International Modeling and Talent Association (IMTA) Convention in New York City in 2000. Not bad for a girl whose acting career hadn't even started yet. Or puberty for that matter.
By the time she was 7, Alyson moved to Los Angeles in order to begin training in hip-hop dancing with the likes of renowned choreographers like Wade Robson, Fatima Robinson and Hi-Hat. This in turn lead to her auditioning for and being cast in the Missy Elliott video for her hit single "Work It" in 2002. The exposure from the video proved to be a godsend, and Alyson eventually went on to star in videos for other artists like Eminem, as well. Along with this, her winning personality wound up landing her a co-host gig for Disney Channel's "Super Short Show" in 2002, launching her inevitable acting career on both the small and, eventually, big screen. In fact, she starred in her first feature film "Cheaper by the Dozen" the very next year.
Of course, even though Alyson is probably most famous for her acting and dancing chops, having gone on to star in three "Step Up" franchise films and counting, we'd be remiss if we didn't at least mention her singing career, too. By April 2010, she had released her first music video for her single "Flying Forward" on YouTube. Since then, she has released several more and even put out an EP titled "Beat the System" in 2011. Having done all this by the time she was only in her early twenties, we can't even imagine the success that awaits the young, talented star.
