Allison Williams attended Yale University and graduated in 2010 with a degree in English. She was a member of the school's improv comedy troupe “Just Add Water.”

She said, “I wanted to be an actress before I understood anything else about my life – before I went to school, before I understood what it is that my dad does. It was innate.” She has described herself as “ a very passionate person.” As for growing up in New England, she said, “I am chock-full of New Englandy – and have a deep, deep affection for it.”

Allison Williams is not a fan of Twitter, and even wrote an open letter detailing her dislike. “It’s because I put up walls. Not to hold anything in, but to keep my thoughts from escaping. I protect myself from myself….I am actually pretty private when I’m not pretending to be someone else.”

Allison Williams has also appeared on “The Mindy Project” and “American Dreams,” among other projects. When asked about achieving fame so early in her career, she said, “Fame is such a sticky word. It’s all so fickle and fleeting. I don’t feel famous, but I do feel that attention is being paid.”

As for one of her sex scenes, she said, the most fun was with Andrew Rannells. “I was his first sex scene partner so I was very gentle with him. I take great pride in taking people’s sex scene virginity!” As for shooting, she said there were no divas, “and no diva-dom is tolerated on our set."

Aside from acting, Allison Williams has written a series of “Funny or Die” sketches, where she appeared as Kate Middleton.

She told GQ that she has read "The Game." “I became absolutely fascinated, primarily with peacocking – because I think it’s absurd – but also with openings, negs, the whole wing-man network.”

When asked if there is such a thing as a good way to break up with someone, she said, “No…those people who are really close to their exes and say there’s nothing weird about that? I don’t know how that’s possible.”

Allison Williams is currently single and resides in New York.
