Aisha Tyler is an American actress and comedienne. She is known best for her roles on such TV series as "Friends," "24," and "Archer." She has also hosted "Talk Soup," "The Talk," and "Whose Line is It Anyway?"
Aisha Tyler was born on September 18, 1970 in San Francisco, California. By high school, she discovered her love of comedy while attending improv sessions at the J. Eugene McAteer School of the Arts in San Francisco. A great student of comedy as well as academics, Aisha eventually went on to Dartmouth College, where she graduated with a major in Political Science, as well as a minor in Environmental Science. She also was part of an all-female a cappella group devoted to spreading social awareness called the Dartmouth Rockapellas. All of her early success in school led to a lucrative job as an advertising executive in her home town of San Francisco, but she would soon opt to pursue her true passions in entertainment instead.

Aisha eventually left her cushy job in San Francisco to pursue a career as a stand-up comedienne, taking her routine across the country before finally landing in Los Angeles in 1996. Before long, her natural charisma had led her to two television hosting gigs. The first was "Talk Soup," which she began hosting in 2001, and the other was the reality-dating series, "The Fifth Wheel." Neither job was very long lasting, but it was enough to get her face and personality out there. Since then, Aisha has gone on to star in a number of television shows such as "Friends," "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," and "24." She's also continued her career as a TV host on shows such as "The Talk," and "Whose Line is It Anyway?" in 2013.
Along with her careers as a host and an actress, Aisha has also run her own weekly podcast, "Girl on Guy," since July 2011. The podcast consists of Aisha interviewing fellow celebrity friends on topics related to men's interests. She is also the vice actress for the character of Lana Kane, a member of the elite spy agency, ISIS, on FX's popular adult-themed animated comedy series, Archer, which debuted in 2010.
