Bandai Namco Games has released a trailer for Star Wars: Battle Pod, a new game that looks set to have people swarming arcades once again.
Star Wars has a storied history with arcades, and Battle Pod looks set to be a big leap forward for the oft-forgotten gaming format with its detailed cockpit and stunning visuals.

Allowing players to man several spacecraft from the Star Wars franchise, Battle Pod includes missions based around the battle of Hoth from Empire Strikes Back, the speeder bike run from Return of the Jedi and the destruction of the Death Star from A New Hope.
Utilizing a technology called “Dome,” the screen of the seated cabinet wraps around the player for a greater sense of immersion, allowing you to really feel like you’re taking down AT-ATs and X-Wings all from the safety of your local arcade.
Star Wars: Battle Pod will only be available in select arcades. Check out the video of it in action below:
