Dennis Rodman Endorses Donald Trump For President

Americans of all political stripes owe Donald Trump a debut for making the Republican primary race into one of the most bizarrely entertaining political spectacles in recent memory. Even hardened politicians have trouble keeping up with Trump’s aggressive (and sometimes, outright racist) remarks.

But there’s at least one man who believes that Trump is the right man to lead America: former NBA superstar Dennis Rodman!

On Friday, Rodman tweeted this message: “[Donald Trump] has been a great friend for many years. We don’t need another politician, we need a businessman like Mr. Trump! Trump 2016”

The Donald responded with his own tweet: “Thank you @DennisRodman. It’s time to #MakeAmericaGreatAgain! I hope you are doing well!”

Unreal.

There is, of course, the possibility that Rodman really believes that Trump should be President. But he also thought that it was a good idea to go to North Korea and play a little B-ball with his good buddy, Kim Jong-un. And the fact that this tweet put Rodman back in the news was probably not an unanticipated response. The Worm thrives on self-promotion. And this little bit of political theater does more for Rodman than it does for Trump. The comedy value alone is tremendous! Every comedian in the country should donate to Trump’s SuperPAC. He’s the walking punchline that has no idea that he’s the joke.

The thing that really scares the other Republican candidates for President is that Trump is currently outperforming all of them in the early polls and he’s quite literally sucking all of the air out of the room. Who wants to talk about Ted Cruz when Trump routinely says much crazier things on camera? Senator Lindsey Graham just had the biggest moment of his Presidential campaign when a video of Graham destroying his cell phone went viral. And why did he destroy it? Because Trump gave out Graham’s number and invited his followers to harass him.

Conventional wisdom holds that Trump will either flame out or lose interest long before the primary season begins. But will he? It’s doubtful that even Trump thought he would be leading in the polls at this point. Nor has attacking Republican war hero, John McCain appeared to have harmed Trump’s standing. It’s highly doubtful that Trump will win the Republican nomination, much less the general election. However, he could still cause a lot of problems for his party simply by sticking around well past his sell by date.

If nothing else, this should make for some great political comedy. And we already have a potential Presidential ticket of Celebrity Apprentice cast members: The Donald/The Worm 2016!
