The Daily Show Replacement Trevor Noah’s Stand-Up Special Coming To The Comedy Network

Before comedian Trevor Noah steps into Jon Stewart’s shoes, The Comedy Network is giving viewers a taste of the newly anointed host of The Daily Show in the Canadian premiere of the one-hour stand up special Trevor Noah: African American, which will air April 25th.

Noah, who was recently announced as the replacement for Stewart, challenges the status quo in this new comedy special, breaking down cultural flaws on all sides and finding our mutual connections with laughter. Born a mixed-race child in South Africa under Apartheid, Trevor Noah: African American is Noah’s search for identity in a world obsessed with labels.

Noah joined The Daily Show with Jon Stewart in 2014 as a contributor and then made his American television debut in 2012 on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and has also appeared on Late Show with David Letterman, becoming the first South African stand-up comedian to appear on either late night show. Born in South Africa to a black South African mother and a white European father, he has successfully become the top comedian in Africa. Noah has hosted numerous television shows including his own late night talk show in his native country, Tonight with Trevor Noah.
