SXSW 2015 Video: The Director and Cast of ‘Ktown Cowboys’

SXSW 2015: Director Daniel ‘DPD’ Park, Angie… by CraveOnline

There are lots of great movies about Los Angeles, but not enough that capture the unique and vibrant culture of Koreatown. Enter Ktown Cowboys, the new film based on the hit web series about a group of Korean-American guys figuring out life and love via club hopping.

Half of the cast of Ktown Cowboys already stopped by the DailyMotion Lounge to talk about the film, but now we have the rest o the Ktown Cowpersons: Peter Jae, Angie Jim and director Daniel ‘DPD’ Park on hand to tell us all about the Ktown culture and the film’s very impassive fake testicles!

Based on the wildly successful web-series of the same name, Ktown Cowboys is a bro-mantic dramedy that follows a group of ball-busting, hard-partying friends wrestling with their evolution into adulthood. As their individual struggles come to light, the group of friends band together in Koreatown and through late nights at seedy after-hour soju bars, karaoke drinking girls and even a stint in jail, each emerges as a better version of himself.

Ktown Cowboys was helmed by music video director Daniel (DPD) Park, produced by Brian Chung and Greg Bishop, and written by Danny Cho (Mad TV, Parks and Recreation).
