In just under two weeks, “Star Trek: The Next Generation” will wrap up its run on Blu-ray with the release of its seventh and final season.
Of the Star Trek spinoff series, “The Next Generation” became a franchise unto itself, with its own spinoffs, video games and even feature films. Picard, Riker, Data, Geordi , Dr. Crusher. Worf and Troi became iconic characters that were only overshadowed by the original crew of the Enterprise.
And while the cast of “Star Trek: The Next Generation” is better known for their serious acting chops, it didn’t stop them from occasionally fooling around on the set. Uproxx has posted the gag reel from “Star Trek: The Next Generation” that includes a few clips of Patrick Stewart cursing and LeVar Burton feeling a little silly. Pretty standard stuff, really.
But then it gets to Jonathan Frakes, as one of his dramatic scenes as Will Riker goes awry. Frakes’ reaction is so hilarious that it’s already spawning gifs online. I’m sure the memes will be created shortly…
“Star Trek: The Next Generation” Season 7 will be released on Blu-ray on Tuesday, December 2.
