Fan Expo Canada And Rue Morgue Present Night Of A Thousand Faces

Torontonians who have “a thing” for Halloween can find a number of blood-curdling events to get the hair on the backs of their necks at full attention – taking centre stage is the Night of a Thousand Faces presented by Fan Expo Canada and Rue Morgue.

Being held on Halloween night, the 17th anniversary of this annual party will feature a Midnite Costume Contest hosted by Tom Savini (“Dawn of the Dead,” “Friday the 13th”) that comes with a $2000 cash prize. There will also be an All Hallow’s Creep Show and Night of the Living dance music by DJ Prospero and Tomb Dragomir. Doors open at 9pm at the Phoenix Concert Theatre. Tickets are $40 at the door and $25 in advance.

On Saturday, October 25th the city is also holding the Toronto Zombie Walk and Halloween parade. It takes place in Nathan Phillips Square. and the one-day festival includes entertainment, vendors, as well as the new Nerf Zombie Strike Midway. The party starts at 12pm, and the walk begins at 3pm.

Another cool Halloween activity to check out is the Haunted Toronto Scavenger Hunt. From the mass graveyard at Yorkville to the insane asylum which now houses our esteemed members of parliament, to the residences of some of this country’s founding fathers (some of whom are still hanging around), visitors will seek answers to tricky trivia questions while uncovering the spicier side of old Toronto. Costumes on Halloween night are mandatory.
