Sin City: A Dame to Kill For – Frank Miller & Robert Rodriguez Interview

Well it sure took long enough. Nine years after Robert Rodriguez and comic book creator Frank Miller teamed up to bring Sin City to the screen for the first time, they’ve got whole the gang back together for a follow-up, adapting more classic tales from Sin City and also crafting an all-new one for Nancy Callahan, played by Jessica Alba.

Well, strike that… they haven’t QUITE got the whole gang back together, and when we cornered Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller in a room to talk about Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, obviously we wanted to talk about one of the conspicuously absent cast members from the previous film, Clive Owen, and learn why his prominent role in one of this anthology film’s stories was recast in the new movie. We also discussed Frank Miller’s evolving role as a co-director, the first time a Sin City movie adapted a story that wasn’t already in the comics, the great big secret of Sin City itself and what’s to come in Sin City 3, which the filmmakers already said they are planning.
