Ten years ago, Shelley Hennig wa Miss Teen USA. Now she’s the newest series regular on MTV’s “Teen Wolf.”
Hennig was introduced in the third season of “Teen Wolf” as Malia Tate, a were-coyote who spent years trapped in her animal form… and she preferred it that way. For the fourth season, Malia has moved to the forefront as a member of Scott’s pack and as Stiles’ girlfriend.
At Comic-Con International, CraveOnline’s Erin Darling caught up with Henning as she shared her thoughts about her first ever Comic-Con, her place in the show and breaking the ice with her new costars. Henning also spoke about why Malia was created and which cast member planted a kiss on her during her first day on the set.

Prior to “Teen Wolf,” Hennig was nominated for a Daytime Emmy during her three years on “Days of Our Lives.” She also starred in “The Secret Circle” and “Zach Stone Is Gonna Be Famous” for a single season on each show.
