The new crime thriller Blue Ruin should be on your radar. It has a rarely achieved 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, it blew minds at last year’s Cannes Film Festival, and it’s finally coming to theaters on April 25, 2014. Blue Ruin stars Macon Blair (Hellbenders) as a homeless man who learns that his parents’ murderer has just been released from prison. He sets off on a mission of revenge, but the thing is… he’s not very good at it, sending the events of writer/director Jeremy Saulnier’s film into unexpected new directions.
