Canadians In Premiere Films Announced For 2014 Sundance Film Festival

The films and documentaries that will debut at the Sundance Film Festival were recently announced, and Canadian stars like Rachel McAdams and Ryan Reynolds will both be represented.

“The Voices,” directed by Marjane Satrapi, stars Reynolds and Anna Kendrick. It follows Jerry Hickfang, a lovable but disturbed factory worker who yearns for attention from a woman in accounting. When their relationship takes a sudden, murderous turn, Jerry’s evil talking cat and benevolent talking dog lead him down a fantastical path where he ultimately finds salvation

“A Most Wanted Man” is directed by Anton Corbijn and stars McAdams along with Philip Seymour Hoffman, Willem Dafoe and Robin Wright. The project is based on John le Carré’s bestselling book and is a modern-day thriller.

Other movies on the schedule include “Laggies” with Keira Knightley, “Little Accidents” with Elizabeth Banks, and “They Came Together” with Amy Poehler, Paul Rudd, and Ed Helms.

The 2014 Sundance Film Festival run from January 16-26 in Park City, Salt Lake City, Ogden and Sundance, Utah.
