Batkid Saves Gotham City From The Riddler & The Penguin

SAN FRANCISCO [CO/Goiters] – He has long been considered an urban legend among the citizens of Gotham City, but on Friday, November 15, 2013, there is finally confirmation that the Batkid is real.

The city was threatened today by the enigmatic costumed criminal who calls himself The Riddler, as he had abducted a local woman and tied her to the cable car tracks along with a mysterious device, but she was rescued in the nick of time by 5-year-old boy wearing a black cape and whose face was obscured by a fearsome mask, marking the first appearance during daylight hours on record of the young man who has come to be known colloquially as The Dark Squire. Employing shrewd detective skills, the Batkid managed to track the Riddler to his attempted bank robbery, allowing the criminal mastermind to be taken into custody.

However, once news broke that Lou Seal, the beloved mascot of the San Francisco Giants baseball club, had been kidnapped by the scheming villain known as The Penguin and held hostage at AT&T Park, it seems Batkid realized that his day’s work of fighting crime was not yet complete. With the police at a stalemate, the Batkid roared onto the scene in a customized Lamborghini ostensibly known as the Batmobile in order to bring his personal brand of vigilante justice to the scene of the crime. The pernicious Penguin’s palpably perilous plot was perspicaciously pickled by the pint-sized perfection of the Caped Crusader.

Having proven himself real at long last to the public who made him an internet sensation thanks to the Twitter hashtag #Batkid, the city was able to show its gratitude to the hero, whose secret identity is now known to be Miles Scott, for all his legendary exploits, including his brave fight against leukemia, by granting him a public reception of cheering throngs, and the key to the city itself.

The Batkid’s legendary heroic exploits have clearly not gone unappreciated, nor have those of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the citizens and administration of San Francisco, and even President Obama, who took time to congratulate him on his crimefighting efforts. This day has been a momentous occasion that will be long remembered by people of all ages.
