The Book Report Podcast #151: Too Fat and Weird

Hey, folks! It’s Episode #151 of The Book Report, Crave Online’s comic book podcast (which occasionally veers off into being a pro wrestling podcast, as it did this time out) with your hosts, Andy Hunsaker and Iann Robinson. Hope you dig it!

This week, we talk a little shop about Lobo’s new look, James Spader as Ultron and Todd McFarlane apparently wanting to write and direct a new Spawn movie, and we accidentally talk about the ridiculous Miley Cyrus thing before Iann gives us all the lowdown on the burgeoning indie wrestling scene. You’ve told us you like it when we talk pro wrasslin’, so we’re putting that to the test here, brother!

We do get to actual comic books eventually, though! When we do, we’re talking shop about Justice League and the surprising end of Trinity War, The Massive, Uncanny Avengers, Secret Avengers, New Avengers, Young Avengers, Transformers: More Than Meets The Eye, Doctor Who: Prisoners of Time, All-Star Western, Captain America, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Batman/Superman, Captain Marvel, Lazarus, Deadpool and more! Also, by Twitter request, we discuss our picks for the best event books, which is a challenge given how much we bash event books generally.

And thanks to My Special Agent for allowing us to use their Hulk song “Anger/Danger” as our opening theme.
