Wayward Pines Begins Shooting In BC

A new drama series, “Wayward Pines,” starring celebs like Terrence Howard, Matt Dillon, Juliette Lewis, and Melissa Leo, is being filmed in BC.

The show, which is being led by director M. Night Shyamalan, was inspired by “Twin Peaks” and follows Secret Service Agents as they seek out two of their own, who have gone missing in the mysterious town of Wayward Pines, Idaho. The program is based on the novel “Pines” by Blake Crouch. It also stars Carla Gugino (“New Girl,” “Political Animals”), Toby Jones (“Titanic”), and Shannyn Sossamon (“Mistresses”).

According to a Global News article, Dillon plays Ethan Burke, a Secret Service agent who is investigating the disappearance of two federal agents. He finds himself caught up in more mysteries than he counted on and is unable to connect with his wife (Shannyn Sossamon) and son (Charlie Tahan) back home. Leo plays a nurse who cares for Burke, and Jones is Dr. Jenkins, the psychiatrist who treats him. Howard plays Sheriff Pope while Lewis takes on the role of the town’s bartender Beverly.

The 10-part series is set to debut next year.
