Colorado Boy Saves Grandma With Mario Kart Skills

Well, this is the first time we've heard of video games skills put to life-saving use, but one Colorado boy says his time spent playing Mario Kart saved his grandmother and brother's lives.

Crave's sister site Destructoid found this feel good gaming story: the 10-year-old who took over his grandma's speeding car after she passed out behind the wheel.

Gryffin Sanders says his Mario Kart instincts just took over as he safely steered the car off the road and into a shallow ditch.

Everyone is safe and every gamer now has a ready excuse for gaming for his/her spouse/boyfriend/girlfriend/boss/mom/dad/self.
