Just A Wednesday Afternoon Fight Between A Tiger And A Bear

Get your popcorn ready, kids, because what you’re about to see is supposedly one of the rarest fights of the natural world.

According to UPI, a safari group rolling through Maharashtra’s Tadoba National Park in India got their money’s worth and then some Wednesday afternoon when they happened upon a “violent confrontation between a tiger and the bear that managed to fight it off.”

Akshay Kumar of the Bamboo Forest Safari Lodge said he was leading a group past a body of water when a tiger enjoying an afternoon swim suddenly locked its eyes on a mother sloth bear and her cub. Instead of shitting his pants and running the other way, Kumar decided to stick around and film the rare battle between tiger and bear that ensued.

“The tiger attacked the bear more than five minutes,” Kumar said. “It went after the sloth bear but she kept charging in order to protect her cub. It went on for 15 minutes. The tiger was roaring. It was a severe fight.”

Much like the majority of heavyweight boxing matches in this country, the fight ended up without a winner, as both parties walked away to tend to their wounds. Don’t worry, though. We’re sure each animal has the right PR team in their corner, and it will only be a matter of time before we’re able to throw $100 down on the pay-per-view rematch.
