Irish Priest Begs For Help After Seeing ‘Dramatic’ Rise In Exorcisms

I would argue that Bills fans need a healthy exorcism from time to time. However, whether you believe in demon possession or not, there’s an Irish priest currently begging his country for backup, claiming an increased presence in demonic activity.

In fact, in a recent interview with the Irish Catholic, Fr. Pat Collins, called the rise in demonic possessions “dramatic,” and has been “overwhelmed” with the number of requests for exorcisms in Ireland in recent years.

Collins is now urging Irish bishops to train more priests to be able to perform exorcisms, saying that anyone who doesn’t see the need is “out of touch with reality.”

This is not a drill. This info comes directly from Catholic New Agency:

“What I’m finding out desperately, is people who in their own minds believe – rightly or wrongly – that they’re afflicted by an evil spirit,” Collins said.

“I think in many cases they wrongly think it, but when they turn to the Church, the Church doesn’t know what to do with them and they refer them on either to a psychologist or to somebody that they’ve heard of that is interested in this form of ministry, and they do fall between the cracks and often are not helped,” he added …

… In his open letter to the Irish bishops, Collins wrote: “…there has been increasing evidence of the malicious activity of the evil one.”

Each dioceses is supposedly required to have a trained ‘exorcist’ who is able to determine whether a person is suffering from true demonic possession or has a mental illness. Collins said that he usually meets with those affected multiple times before determining whether they have true demonic possession or other problems. Either way, he says requests to see him have gone up exponentially.

The International Association of Exorcists (IAE) — holy crap yes this is a real thing — has also reported a dramatic increase in demonic activity in recent years, calling the activity throughout the world a “pastoral emergency.”

Me? I blame Hollywood. We’ve all seen 1973’s The Exorcist. But here’s just a short list of demonic possession movies released in recent years:

Exorcist: The Beginning (2004)

Dominion (sequel to The Exorcist) (2005)

The Exorcism of Emily Rose (2005)

Requiem (2006)

The Haunting In Connecticut (2009)

The Unborn (2009)

The Last Exorcism (2010)

Exorcismus (2010)

The Rite (2011)

Anneliese: The Exorcist (2011)

The Possession (2012)

The Devil Inside (2012)

Devil Seed (2012)

The Cloth (2013)

The Last Exorcism Part II (2013)

Annabelle (2014)

Deliver Us From Evil (2014)

The Possession Of Michael King (2014)

Annabelle: Creation (2017)

Again, that’s just a very small slice of demon movies made during the last 10-15 years. See my point?

If you’re reading this and you think you may be possessed by a demon, you probably are. But it’s not ‘Satan.’

Want proof? Here’s a “real” exorcism of a young girl caught on camera.

You know what? …. Yeah, I’m going to church actually. Bye.
