Here’s A 911 Dispatcher Caught Snoring While On An Emergency Call
There’s always time for a nap.
Meet Jasmin Thomas. Thomas is a Cleveland police dispatcher whose job is to make sure the citizens of Cleveland get the help they need as soon as possible. Well, as soon as Thomas is done sleeping. And we say that because the dispatcher has actually been suspended for six days after she was busted snoring while talking a 9-1-1 call.
And there’s more than just being caught sleeping. Thomas also took ten seconds to answer a 9-1-1 call, and another 40 seconds to transfer a call to firefighters for a burning stove. This lady is just a complete mess.
Take a look at the video below to hear Thomas sleeping on the job.
Thomas literally started snoring after answering the call. That’s talent. Or narcolepsy.
An internal investigation led to the dispatcher’s suspension, but discipline papers show that Thomas has been warned about sleeping on the job. Thomas has plead no contest to the internal charges.
The Cleveland Police Union President, Steve Loomis, spoke for Thomas, and had this to say:
“Not excuses, but the reality is that she’s a single mom. She’s going to college full-time, and she’s working 40, 50, sometimes 60 hours a week up there.”
Oh, well now the people on the other side of those 9-1-1 calls who need help will be OK with the fact she’s sleeping because they know her life story. Thanks, Steve!
