Amy Schumer Apologises For Cancelling Aussie Tour, Confesses Love For Meat Pies

US comic and actor Amy Schumer left her Aussie fan base frustrated and a little pissed off when she cancelled her live stand-up tour just one week from the first show due to illness.

She’s now issued an apology, of sorts, uploading a photo of herself with a koala to Instagram, alongside a message that reads, “Australia! I am so sorry I am not well enough to make it there right now. I am going to get healthy and come as soon as I can.”

She also confesses her love of Aussie meat pies, adding, “I love it there so much. The people are the coolest and the meat pies are the hottest. See you ASAP!”

It doesn’t look like “ASAP” will be all that soon either, with touring giant Live Nation issuing a statement on Monday saying that due to Schumer’s current schedule “it is not possible to schedule replacement dates”. The company then confirmed Schumer will return to Australia “as soon as is practical”.

Live Nation has also indicated that all refunds will be processed automatically, although if the credit card used for the purchase is no longer valid you’ll have to contact the point of purchase. Further enquiries should be directed to Ticketek.
