Frozen 2 Is Real, Coming Back to Arendelle

For many of you, there was no doubt this would happen. For some, maybe you thought that Frozen didn’t need a follow-up. And for even more of you, a Frozen sequel is something you dread because that means having to line up at toy stores to get your children the new playthings, shirts, dresses, costumes, dolls, sheets, placemats, shoes, bowls, backpacks, coloring books, and water bottles that they so desperately need. Frozen created a special kind of Disney frenzy that turned the dial to 11 in the excited minds of children everywhere, and a sequel to the billion-dollar-making film would surely inspire the madness again.

On that note, we’d like to share that in a recent Annual Meeting of Shareholders, animator/director/producer John Lasseter had the following to say, which sort of confirms the film’s impending arrival in the future:

Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck have come up with a great idea for a sequel and you will be hearing a lot more about it and we’re taking you back to Arendelle. We are so excited about that.

Clearly the film is in pre-production still, but there’s confirmation of the plans to make the sequel right there, considering Lasseter said we will be hearing more about it and that they are taking us back to Arendelle. Knowing this, go ahead and tell your children / nieces / nephews / young cousins that there is indeed going to be a Frozen 2. They’ll love you forever for it. You’re welcome.

Thanks to Cinema Blend for the update from Disney.
