Jurassic World: Watch the First Trailer

After an early teaser for the Jurassic World trailer premiered last week (which we refused cover, because it was a lame marketing stunt), the actual trailer is finally here, and it looks like it was worth the wait. Our first (real) look at Jurassic World follows through on many of the promises of the original film, and seems to boast some nifty new ideas as well.

Whereas Jurassic Park took place in an amusement park that hadn’t opened yet, and would seemingly never open, Jurassic World takes place on an island where Hammond’s vision came true, and scores of looky-loos interact with genetically engineered dinosaurs in attractions that bring to mind visions of Sea World. But if you’ve ever seen Jaws 3D or the disturbing documentary Blackfish, you probably realize that the fun of Jurassic World isn’t going to last for long. Well, for the characters in the movie anyway. For us it looks like it might be fun as hell.
