First Guardians of the Galaxy Full Trailer Hits

“What a bunch of a-holes…”

“Jimmy Kimmel Live” got to present the debut, but now the world can check out the first real trailer for Marvel’s hotly-anticipated sci-fi-slash-comedy-slash-actioner-slash-whoknowswhat Guardians of the Galaxy.

Trailers don’t always offer a real representation of what we’ll see when the final product hits screens, but if this two-and-a-half minutes is any indication, Marvel’s most oddball project yet is shaping up to be a whole lotta fun.

Chris Pratt may be a little more chiseled here than during his time as “Parks and Recreation” man-child Andy Dwyer, but it’s not hard to see why Pratt got the coveted role of Jason Quill, aka Starlord.  This first glimpse is short on co-stars Zoe Saldana, Lee Pace and Benicio Del Toro — and we don’t hear so much as a syllable from Rocket Raccoon (Bradley Cooper) or Groot (Vin Diesel) — but Pratt’s very Dwyer-esque take on the Guardians’ slacker leader should more than pump you up for the six months of hype we’re about to get for this film.

Guardians of the Galaxy is set to hit theaters August 1 — as if you didn’t know already…
