The Cast of ‘Stranger Things’ Makes the Cover of EW

If anything demonstrates the current cultural hold that Stranger Things has, it’s the fact that the season 2 trailer premiered during the Super Bowl. That is the one of the most expensive ad slots on television, and the trailer was received as if it was from a blockbuster summer release. Now, Stranger Things is getting another cultural moment: it’s landed on the cover of Entertainment Weekly.

EW has released the first look at its cover for this week’s issue, which features the five youngest leads of Stranger Things. From left-to-right, we see Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Mille Bobby Brown, Caleb McLaughlin, and Noah Schnapp. If the picture is any indication, Schnapp’s Will Byers will have a bigger role this season, and Brown’s Eleven will be sporting some seriously curvy hair.

So far, most of the story details for Stranger Things season 2 have been under wraps, but the recent trailer revealed that the threat of the Upside Down may crossover into our world in a much larger way. It’s also known that the second season will take place around Halloween in 1984, roughly one year after the events of the first season.

Netflix will premiere the second season of Stranger Things on Halloween. Presumably, EW’s upcoming preview issue will also have more information about what fans can expect to see in the new season.
