‘Westworld’ & ‘The Walking Dead’ Will Be At PaleyFest 2017

The Paley Center has announced the full lineup for this year’s PaleyFest, there’s a lot of options for fans who love TV and live in Los Angeles.

For anyone who has never been to PaleyFest, it’s usually a two-hour event at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood that brings together the cast and creators of some of the most popular TV series for a screening followed by a panel discussion and audience Q&A. Think of it as Comic-Con on a more intimate scale, but with more variety than San Diego’s signature event would normally provided.

This year, The Walking Dead will return to PaleyFest and kickoff this year’s lineup on Friday, March 17. On March 18, The CW’s superhero dramas, The Flash, Arrow, Supergirl, and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow will honored in a single panel during the afternoon, while NBC’s hit family drama, This is Us will be featured in the nighttime slot.

The PaleyFest will skip March 20, and resume on March 21 with NCIS: Los Angeles, followed by The Late, Late Show on March 22, Orphan Black on March 24, and Bob’s Burgers on March 24.

HBO’s Westworld will make its PaleyFest premiere on March 25, with a panel for Pretty Little Liars also scheduled for that day. The 2017 PaleyFest will wrap up on March 26, with a matinee panel for Scandal and an evening panel for American Horror Story: Roanoke.

In a statement, Paley Center President Maureen J. Reidy said  “For 34 years PaleyFest has grown in size, presence and prestige – solidifying its spot on the Los Angeles cultural and popular landscape. We are so proud to present this incredible PaleyFest 2017 lineup as the centerpiece in our year-round Paley Center programming. This year’s festival brings together fans and introduces new audiences to the stars and creators of television’s most talked about and popular shows.”

Paley Center members will be able to buy tickets on January 9, before the general public gets the opportunity to purchase them later this month. You can find more information here. For fans who can’t make it to the event, it’s likely that the Paley Center will once again live-stream its PaleyFest panels on Hulu, but a formal announcement of that has yet to be made.
