London Rolls-Royce Exhibition to Show Off ‘The Great Eight Phantoms’

This summer, Rolls-Royce is coming to Mayfair, the traditional London HQ of upperclass luxury with a special exhibit of one of the ultra-luxury automaker’s most legendary models. “The Eight Great Phantoms” will assemble together special Phantoms from the last 92 years in Mayfair, while welcoming the car’s next generation.

Rolls-Royce hasn’t named the eight autos included in the show as the company intends to roll them one at a time over the next eight weeks. But, we do know the first story will feature The Fred Astaire Phantom I – making a trip across the Atlantic from the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles.

Debuting in 1925, the Rolls-Royce Phantom remains perhaps the automaker’s most iconic creation. According to the company’s own records, The Phantom carried everyone from to Winston Churchill to countless Hollywood big shots.

Rolls-Royce introduced the modern Phantom in 2003, with 453 horsepower 6.75 liter V12 capable of driving the big luxury creation 0-62 mph in 5.9 seconds. As the second decade of the 21st century draws to a close, a new Phantom stands ready to hit the road.

The exhibit will open in Mayfair in July 27 and run through the summer.
