Eddie Vedder & Judd Apatow Honour Garry Shandling With Hilarious Song At Bonnaroo

Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder and writer/director Judd Apatow have teamed up at Bonnaroo 2016, paying tribute to the late Garry Shandling with a song which turned the comedian’s jokes and anecdotes into something both hilarious and heartwarming.

As Consequence Of Sound reports, Vedder made the surprise appearance with Apatow ahead of Pearl Jam’s headlining performance at the festival on Saturday, 12th June.

With Vedder playing an acoustic guitar and singing some verses, Apatow dropped some of Shandling’s best one-liners, including, “My friends say I have an intimacy problem, but they don’t really know me,” and, “It’s not what you look like. It’s the hair on the inside that counts.”

Catch footage of the moment in all its glory, below.

Shandling passed away in March this year following a heart attack. He was aged 66, and left behind a legacy which includes The Larry Sanders Show and a stint as the permanent guest host on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson.
