Turns Out Justin Timberlake Didn’t Write The ‘I’m Lovin It’ Jingle For McDonalds, Pusha T Did

Well it turns out you can’t even trust evil multinational fast food conglomerates anymore, after news emerged today that rapper Pusha T is the true talent behind the iconic McDonalds I’m Lovin It jingle, and not Justin Timberlake who only sang the lines.

That’s right, nothing is sacred anymore.

The earth shattering revelation came from former record industry executive and current CEO of the marketing firm Translation, Steve Stoute, who was recently interviewed by US radio station Hot 97‘s Ebro Darden.

Discussing his move from the music industry to marketing, with the launch of I’m Lovin It being one of the first big projects Translation handled, Stoute told Darden of Pusha’s turn at jingle writing after the host initially gave Pharrell Williams credit for writing it, as many previously believed.

“No, you know who did that?” Stoute said, “Pusha T.”

Stoute actually sounded kinda surprised himself too adding that, “that’s crazy that Pusha T wrote the song to McDonald’s I’m Lovin It.'”

Not sure how happy McDonalds would be to have the public know their jingle was written by the former drug dealer turned rapper, but these days I’m sure they’re just happy to have anything distract from speculation they’ll be replacing workers with machines after raises to the US minimum wage.

Oh wait I just reminded you, oops.

Anyway you can watch the full interview here, with the revelation coming in around the 4:oo min mark.
