Watch The PM Do Absolutely Nothing As The Chaser Falls Flat After An Attempted Trust-Fall

Last week The Chaser announced that they were returning to TV for a series of election specials and it seems the stunts have already begun with Chas Licciardello today failing a trust-fall on the PM.

This election, both Malcolm Turnbull and Bill Shorten are asking the public who they trust more, so Licciardello decided to test Turnbull by falling onto him to prove he could trust him. But as it turns out, he can’t.

Turnbull was visiting McCarthy Catholic College in Emu Plains when Licciardello crossed his arms and fell. Our “trustworthy” PM simply stood back, looked at him and smiled as he was left to fall to the ground with his trust shattered.

Then the security detail whipped him out of the way as one of them strangely put a hand to his forehead briefly almost as if he was blessing him. They were outside a church after all.

Despite leaving with his trust broken, Licciardello was thankful that he didn’t hurt anything else actually praising the Feds for breaking his fall.

“I think the feds [security agents] broke my fall to be honest. They were very good humoured about it,” he told Fairfax.

It’s not the only run in the PM has had with The Chaser guys today. Craig Reucassel followed him to a Penrith coffee shop with a life-size cut-out of ousted, former PM Tony Abbott.

Obviously, Turnbull is on their radar today but surely it won’t be long before Shorten has to prove how trustworthy he is.

The Chaser Election Desk will kick off next Wednesday on the ABC.
