Warriors Break All-Time Bulls Record: 73 Wins In One Season

Wednesday night was arguably the best single night of regular-season basketball in NBA history.

Not only did Kobe drop 60 points in his final game, leading his Lakers to a win past the Jazz, but the Golden State Warriors closed out their season with a win over the Memphis Grizzlies, breaking the all-time record for most wins in a season, previously held by Michael Jordan’s all-time great 1995-96 Chicago Bulls that went 72-10.

Curry dropped 46 points en route to the 125-104 win, a victory that set the new all-time wins record at 73-9 — a record the entire basketball world never thought would be broken, including Warriors head coach Steve Kerr, who played with Jordan on that ’95-96 Bulls team 20 years ago.

But that wasn’t the only amazing record set Wednesday night.

To give a bit of foreshadowing, here’s Curry nailing 5 of 7 threes from the half court logo in pre-game warmups. It was a sign the MVP would be in the zone for his final game of the year.

And then the real show began, Curry nailing ten three-pointers in the game, shattering his own single-season record of 286 threes in one season, finishing with 400.

Only the Cavs or the Spurs have a glimmer of a chance to take down the defending champions in the NBA playoffs this year. And even if they can win a best-of-seven series against this all-time team, it would be considered an unprecedented upset.
