Hideo Kojima and Guillermo Del Toro Working on a P.T. Sequel?

Over the course of the past few days Hideo Kojima has met with both Guillermo Del Toro and Norman Reedus, the two men he was working with on the cancelled Silent Hills game. This has sparked speculation that the trio are looking to join forces for a successor to P.T., the playable teaser for Silent Hills that Konami prevented from becoming a full retail release.

Though Konami still hold the rights to the Silent Hill license, that wouldn’t prevent Kojima and Del Toro from creating their own brand new survival-horror IP, and having The Walking Dead actor Reedus joining them for the ride as the game’s protagonist, which was his planned role in Silent Hills. With Kojima tweeting earlier this week that he had held a reunion with Reedus in order to give him an “update” regarding his new Kojima Productions company, Del Toro tweeted earlier today that he was “traveling to meet Kojima-San tomorrow.” This heavily suggests that the trio are working on something together:

Since parting ways with publisher Konami, Kojima announced a partnership with Sony in order to release his next game on the PS4. With Kojima already working on this as-yet-unannounced game, it’s unlikely that it will be the P.T. successor, but that doesn’t mean that we won’t see his and Del Toro’s terrifying vision brought to life in the future.
