Sia Drops ‘Bird Set Free’, Reveals Release Date And Cover For ‘This Is Acting’

Everyone’s favourite Aussie-gone-International Sia is gearing up for the release of her seventh album This Is Acting, finally giving us a few more details as well as dropping a second taste of it.

Sia has given us the cover art for the album and also revealed that it will drop on 29th January 2016, making it one of the first highly anticipated releases for next year. While we don’t have a tracklist yet we do have first single Alive and now fresh cut Bird Set Free.

Bird Set Free, like previous single Alive, was written for but rejected by Adele. The album is also expected to feature songs Sia wrote for Rihanna, Shakira, Beyoncé, Demi Lovato and more.

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Adele said that even though none of the songs she wrote with Sia made the cut for her forthcoming album 25 she loved working with her. “I actually love the dynamic of us both being in there and just fucking being bossy,” she said.

“And it’s all these male producers, and they’re all fucking shitting themselves ’cause we’re in there.”

This Is Acting follows on from Sia’s 2014 album 1000 Forms of Fear which spawned a worldwide hit in Chandelier. Check out Bird Set Free and the cover art below.
