The Trailer for Quentin Tarantino’s ‘The Hateful Eight’ Takes Us Alive

Your day is about to get a little more hateful, and for once that might actually be a good thing.

The trailer for Quentin Tarantino’s eighth movie just hit the internet, and it looks like it’s going to be another doozy. We’re still not sure why we should make a big deal out of the number of films Tarantino’s made so far – it’s not, “Wow, number eight!” was ever going to enter our minds – but this new western, The Hateful Eight, does come across like an entertaining potboiler.

The Hateful Eight stars Kurt Russell, Samuel L. Jackson, Tim Roth, Walton Goggins, Michael Madsen, Bruce Dern, Demian Bichir and Jennifer Jason Leigh as bounty hunters, and a murderer, holed up in a cabin together. Leigh in particular looks likely to steal the show, but the following trailer gives us moments with just about all that great cast that appear most encouraging indeed.

Of course, The Hateful Eight could still completely suck, but it would be the first Quentin Tarantino film to do so, so the odds appear to be in all of our favors.

The Hateful Eight hits theaters, and in glorious 70mm, on December 25, 2015.
