Shaquille O’Neal Is Now A Big-Time DJ And He’s Got A Mix To Prove It

Shaquille O’Neal is best known for perfecting the art of Basketball, however, he’s also released four rap albums and acted in a movie, so why not add DJ extraordinaire to his impossibly diverse resume?

O’Neal was never one to the drop a basketball unless it was through the net, but he’s going to be dropping the bass on the regular now, taking up a career as a DJ.

Shaq aka DJ Diesel, as he’s referring to himself, has been added to the lineup of EDM Festival TomorrowWorld alongside huge DJs Tiësto, Martin Garrix and Hardwell.

To give people an idea of the sort of tunes DJ Diesel will be spinning, he’s gifted us with an hour long mix. The mix traverses EDM, hip-hop and trap styles throwing in Pharrell, Drake and Calvin Harris along the way.

He’s decided to not to include any of his own rap tunes, but it’s only the beginning so we wouldn’t write the possibility off completely. His last album Respect dropped in 1998 so it’s been a little while since he’s dabbled in the music industry.

While his first huge festival set is yet to happen, he’s already debuted his show at a club in Las Vegas, asTMZ caught.

Most folk in retirement buy a beach house or work on their gardening but Shaq was never one to take the ordinary path.

TomorrowWorld is set to kick-off in Atlanta on 25th September.
