Killing Floor 2 Shows Character Customization and Gore in HD Screenshots

It’s been 10 years since Killing Floor appeared as an Unreal Tournament 2004 mod. Now, its sequel looks to turn the franchise into something much bigger.

Developed by Tripwire Interactive, the same team responsible for Red Orchestra 2, Killing Floor 2 is a post-apocalyptic game with a chaotic atmosphere. It takes pride in its gore, which is featured front and center in its gameplay. Its mature style can be seen not only in its gameplay and enemy design, but even the character that you get to play as.

New screenshots debut the game’s character customization, a feature that wasn’t present in the original Killing Floor. You’ll have quite a few options for selecting how you look as you tackle the game’s hordes of grotesque creatures with or without friends. You can see them below.

Killing Floor 2‘s main draw is making combat with its varied enemies enjoyable, while rewarding you with funds to unlock more exciting weapons. Unlike its predecessor, a lot of time is going into its presentation, which will feature motion capture for everything from running animations to melee attacks. Tripwire hopes that this will make the game more immersive, raising the level of horror experienced when being swarmed by enemies.
