Road to Bonnaroo Day 3: Nashville, Third Man Records and The Final Stretch to ‘Roo

We’re on Day 3 of our marathon drive to the best music festival in America, the 2014 Bonnaroo Arts & Music Festival, hitting music landmarks and major music cities along the way. After a victory lap through Austin, Texas, we hustled down to New Orleans. We got crazy in the French Quarter, and had ourselves an unforgettable night in the birthplace of jazz!

We woke up in Nashville with a mission of urgency: to get to Third Man Records in Nashville before it closed at 6pm. The task was a tough one, but we blasted through four states, danced with a cop at 110 mph, defied the laws of physics and somehow made it to Jack White’s recording studio/label headquarters/novelty store with barely a minute to spare. Given that he’s headlining Bonnaroo and just released a fantastic new record, it was a necessary visit.

Check out our Day 3 Road to Bonnaroo video coverage below, from country music’s heartland, Nashville! As you can see, we literally arrived just in time – a group of kids who pulled up just after us didn’t make it inside in time.
