With a new Johnny Cash album on the horizon, there’s a little hope left in the tank that the modern crop of country superstars won’t go any further down the road of dumb cliches and easy imagery, and instead return a little soul to the craft. Hell, we’d settle for a little Garth Brooks at this point. Damn.
