Bob Costas Sums Up Redskins Controversy Perfectly

Damn Bob, you’ve done it again.

You are masterful at processing human emotion and thought into intriguing on-camera dialogue. Master of the English language.

This on-air essay was part of Costas’ half-time segment during Sunday Night Football. I was on the fence about the issue before watching this video — now my stance is strong as oak.

Next time you have trouble explaining to your friends the situation that currently exists in Washington and why it’s detrimental, just show them this video.

Or this all could be a complete waste of time and the name really could have been generated following a Mike Shanahan side-line temper tantrum.

Then again, a sad argument considering the team name was given decades before Shanahan was even conceived.
